8 Ways to Leave Great Impression

We all dream of being someone or something we are not. Some fail but some succeed and others neither fail nor succeed. It’s but natural for us to get interested on those who succeed. How do they do it?

1. Make a Good Entrance

Confident and interesting women always make a good entrance. In a gathering, wear something you’re most comfortable with. But make sure that the outfit fits the occasion.
Once you’ve entered a room, know where you’re going. Do not hesitate which direction you’ll take. Do not move back and forth, or left and right. Go straight to where you want to go.

2. Be Bold

After you’ve made the good entrance, do the bold moves. If you don’t know anyone in the room, introduce yourself. Get acquainted with the people there. You can join a group whose topic interests you most. Or if you want, you can start your own topic, thus forming a new group. Chat with them and make friends. If it so happens that you meet someone you know but you can’t remember his/her name, be honest about it. Ask for his/ her name, take off from that. All these will complete your night.

3. Talk Good

Talk about something interesting, something you know very well. Share what you know. Or if you want, you can choose a topic you don’t know very weft and then learn from the people you’re talking with. Ask questions if you need to. The topic need not always come from you. Remember that what is important here is the interaction–you are all talking and learning at the same time.

4. Be Calm

Don’t get too excited for having the opportunity to talk. Organize yourself. Organize your ideas before speaking. Know what you will say or what you will ask. But do not forget to listen to what others are saying. Avoid repeating ideas or questions that had been said and asked.

5. Speak Up

Say what you need to say but do not argue if other people’s ideas contradict yours. If you don’t agree with what the other is saying, tell them your views. It is important to say what you feel and need to say. But what is more important is how you say it. You can go against their ideas but do not start a fight. Contradict the idea and not the person.

6. Forget About Fear

If some time ago, you happen to say something and people laughed at your ideas, forget about it. It should be all in the past. Do not let past “failures” prevent you now from speaking your mind. Think that it will never happen again and do not make it happen again. Think before you speak. But remember to speak. Voice out what’s going on in there.

7. Do Not Be Intimidated

Do not ever feel inferior to anybody. As long as you know what you’re saying, everything will go well. Do not entertain negative thoughts like, “Oh my gosh, he’s the President of the country, I may not be able to say a thing.” Who cares if he’s the President? You are someone for the simple reason that you exist.

8. Believe In Yourself

To be truly successful in whatever you are doing, believe in yourself. Do not doubt your skills, talents and those God-given gifts. Believe in your ability to do just about anything, even asking for help and admitting that sometimes you also make mistakes.
