A funny story for that tough day at work

Do have you ever found yourself having one of those days? You know, those kinds of days where you would rather be anywhere else than in a depressing cubicle or office, working for a boss that you cannot stand for another minute? Well, here is a funny story that might help to improve your day.

Weight loss plan.

A man was watching TV one day when he saw an ad for a weight loss plan. The company looked pretty reputable, so he decided that he would try one out. Not wanting to outdo himself, he ordered the 5 day, ten pound plan. It sounded like a good idea, and besides, he had wanted to lose a few pounds now for awhile.

Well, the next morning, there was a knock at his door. When he answered it, he found a beautiful young woman standing at his door, wearing nothing but white tennis shoes and a sign that said “weight loss plan” hung around her neck. She explained that she was a representative from the weight loss company, and that if he could catch her, he could keep her. Well, needless to say, he dashed after her, chasing her all over town. By the time he decided to give up (she was much faster than him), he was gasping for air and out of breath. Perplexed, he headed home and went to bed. This continued for four more days, and believe it or not, when he stepped on the scale after the fifth day, he had lost ten pounds. Support and encouragement helps most of us to reach our goals. If there are more people who are trying to reach the same goals as you and you are doing it together it will be harder to “cheat”. Training buddy or a forum is perhaps all you need to get you extra motivated.

2. It´s not always easy.

You are not going to see results every time you are weighing yourself. It´s not easy to lose weight and it´s important that you keep fighting. Have faith in your self and remember that you are not only doing this to lose weight but to be healthier as well.

3. There are no fast solutions.

You are changing your lifestyle. To live healthier and have control over your weight is not something you should do on short-term. See every meal and day as a routine that will work on long-term.

4. Have fun.

If you feel that your exercise is one-sided or boring you will probably lose desire to keep going on. Try to think outside the box and create your own exercises to break the pattern. You can try walking, running or jump rope with kids.

5. Persistence is the key

Don´t give up. Let the healthy food and exercise be part of your life. It doesn´t matter how far away or how close you are to your weigh-loss goals – keep your healthy habits and you will be fine.
